So, the night before you actually take the car to an AutoX event, you completely change all the handling characteristics you're used to by making the car lighter in the rear?

I totally get behind the simplify + add lightness, but I'm not sure the night before would be the day I do it. I'd want to go once to learn the ropes, and then see what needs to be improved, like sway bar links, ball joints and tires.

Uh, anything in particular happen to the back seats? Or did you just add some lightness?

Pulling the seats will most likely put you into a class with cars monumentally more specced ou than yours. I'd leave them in.

I'm not doing it to actually compete, I'm just doing it for fun. Half the fun was taking the seats out, lol. My tires are almost shot and this is just kinda like a sendoff for them. The seats weren't that heavy, and I've driven it hard (on the dragon) with the trunk stripped, which is where most of the weight is. Should be fine

Just for added lightness and because it was fun

If you're 5'8" or less go for it. Drove one once and it was just...simply...so...you know when in 2001: A Space Oddesy, where Bowman looks into the monolith and is caught in a moment of bliss, confusion, amazement, and observation into the star gate? "My god...it's full of stars!" That brief moment where everything makes sense for him, he sees further than any person ever had in human history, and me takes that first step towards further evolution into the star child?

That's driving an Elise for the first time

I know exactly what you're talking about. And I'm 5'9, but I've sat in one before and was fine.

I'm not saying don't or that you'll have a major issue, just the way I look at it.

Your car looks really clean. Any mods that we can't see?

Is it a manual? If so, you have a unicorn with a ingrown horn. (really uncommon but not rare)

Awesome and have fun out there!

I see that you're just going out there for fun so this wouldn't matter much.. I think stripping rear seats could bump you up into higher classes where you'll have a big disadvantage.

Sadly no, and the reason it's not is precisely that reason. Way too hard to find. If I find a good manual one I'll get it though
